Chamber After Hours and Farmers After Sunset Holiday Events

 

     Washington County Bank recently hosted its annual Chamber After Hours and Farmers After Sunset holiday events over the weekend of December 12-13.  The holiday celebration was complete with food, spirits & cheer and was centered around a majestical 12 foot Christmas tree and grand piano.

     We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our many loyal customers.  Without you we wouldn't be a part of this wonderful community or have the opportunity to wish you a happy, healthy and memorable holiday season.  Happy Holidays from Washington County Bank!

Chamber After Hours in Tekamah

Washington County Bank in Tekamah hosted a Chamber After Hours event on Monday, November 17th.   Guests were invited to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with an evening of food, spirits and cheer.  Washington County Bank would like to wish everyone a fun and safe holiday season!

WCB Teaches Students the Importance of Having Good Credit

Being smart about credit isn't always easy.  Staying smart about your credit can be even harder.  That's why Washington County Bank joined together with Blair High School November 11-12 for Money Smart Week in Nebraska.  Students had the chance to learn about the importance of having good credit through an informative presentation and interactive games, as shown in the picture.

    Washington County Bank received the Nebraska Business of the Year Award at the 2008 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference in April.  This is the 15th year this award has been presented annually to one outstanding business in Nebraska.

    Washington County Bank is very dedicated to providing learning opportunities for members through their guidance and encouragement.  Their exemplary support of the Blair chapter of FBLA includes providing speakers for Career Night, offering tours of their facility, providing speakers at chapter meetings, and serving as an event sponsor for Nebraska FBLA.  The bank also supports the cooperative education program and is a strong partner with Blair Community Schools.  In addition, Doug Demers has served on the local FBLA Business Advisory Council and has provided many hours of service to Blair chapter members.

    In their support and assistance to education and the community, employees of Washington County Bank are encouraged to become involved in local civic and community organizations; their involvement and support reaches almost 30 different organizations with over 3,000 hours of volunteer service during a single year.  The bank is involved in many educational programs that promote financial awareness for students in our community.

NBA Recognizes Washington County Bank

    The Nebraska Bankers Association (NBA) honored Washington County Bank for their leadership and contributions to the financial services industry during the association’s Annual Convention, held May 7-9 at the Hilton Hotel in Omaha.  Washington County Bank was the sole bank to receive the highest Personal Economics Program (PEP) award this year from the NBA, the PEP Gold Star Award.  The Personal Economics Program is a volunteer program designed to teach consumers of all ages about personal finance, economics, and money management.
